New Ducati Diavel Bikes Recalled in America

Ducati is currently recalling certain 2011 Diavel motorcycles. The reason behind the recall appears to be loose parts that could interfere with the functioning of the rear wheel.
According to the company, 964 motorcycles built from September 23rd last year till May 12, 2011, feature in the recall list. The Italian bike manufacturer, Ducati said in reports they filed with NHTSA, that chain guard contained brass inserts that could deform over a period of time, causing screws on the bike’s license plate to loosen.
This could result in the holder contacting the bike’s rear wheels that could prevent it rotating properly and resulting in increased chances of an accident taking place.
