What’s the best place to be for Australia Day?
Posted on January 25, 2011 by by valerirojas
We are only hours away from Australia Day (26th January 2011) and here in Canberra I will probably go to the “Australia Day in the Park 2011” celebrations at the Commonwealth Park.
There will be lots of things to do on the day such as the Great Aussie Day Breakfast, Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremonies, the popular Children’s Festival featuring Ben 10TM, and the Australia Day Jam. which will showcase great local bands and professional skateboard and BMX demonstrations and workshops.
What about you? what will you be doing tomorrow and where will you be celebrating Australia Day? is this the best place to be for Australia Day? feel free to share your Australia day plans under the comments section.

I reckon home with a BBQ and air con is a good idea in this heat. The kids are keen for The Wiggles at Commonwealth Park, but I don’t fancy battling the crowds. The National Museum Family Festival is always good and not as crowded, there’s lots of crafts and storytelling and music and dance, and I wanted to see the Canning Stock Route exhibition anyway.

I hear is going to be 37degrees tomorrow, air con sounds pretty good.
