Free transport for the Australia Day Concert in Canberra

Posted on January 18, 2011 by by valerirojas

If you have been to the Australia Day Concert in Canberra before then you would know that finding any parking around the Commonwealth Park is a real nightmare. The good news is that you won’t have to drive to the concert as there will be free buses to the Commonwealth Park on the day.

“The event organiser is providing free shuttle services departing from the Cohen Street Bus Station, the Westfield Bus Station and the Belconnen Community Bus Station on Platform 1, Woden Bus Station Platform 10 and City Bus Station Platform 9 then drop off in front of Old Parliament House. The services commence at 4.00pm and will operate approximately every 20 minutes until 9.00pm. Return buses will depart from the front of Old Parliament House on King George’s Terrace and travel to all bus stations between 8.00pm and midnight”. For more information visit ACTION

This is also a good option if you were thinking on having a few drinks on the day.
