Emergency alert to Emerald and Warra residents – Queensland Floods

Queensland Emergency Services have issued an emergency alert to all Emerald and Warra residents – Queensland.
Two Emergency Alerts have this afternoon been issued to residents of Emerald and Warra, as requested by local authorities.
The message to Emerald residents is that flooding is likely to reach 2008 levels and close the Vince Lester Bridge. Residents should commence preparation for evacuation if required. Evacuation notices will be delivered by SES or Council. The message to Warra residents is to take precautions with water which may be affected after flooding.
Until further notice Warra residents are advised not to drink the water due to possible contamination caused by flooding.
