The Victoria Government has launched three new free applications for the Melbourne/Victoria community to make their everyday journeys as smooth and efficient as possible. And we are not talking Iphone only either, they have also build an app for Google Android phones as well.
“While behind the wheel, let’s all lead by example and not block intersections or clearways and please remember to keep the way clear for our buses and trams.”
SmartPark
SmartPark is a nifty set-and-forget iPhone application that reminds you of clearway times and when your parking meter is about to expire. You can even track where you parked your car!
Travel Choice Map
This tool informs you when and where clearways are active throughout the day and lets you plan your trip accordingly. It’ll even give you other suggestions on how to make it across town and where to park. Impress your friends with your psychic-like traffic awareness.
LiveDrive
This desktop application, also available for Android and Blackberry, feeds you live updates on traffic conditions straight to your computer or phone. Be on the ball and plan your journey before leaving. But remember, don’t use your phone while driving.

To access LiveDrive on your desktop, you can download and install the LiveDrive widget. Please note, you will need to have AdobeAir installed and running on your computer to run the LiveDrive Desktop Widget.
