Natural Disaster Declared in the NSW South-West Region after floods

The NSW Government has declared a Natural Disaster following widespread flooding across the NSW Riverina and South-West Slopes. media release
Acting Emergency Services Minister Phil Costa today visited the region to inspect damage caused by the flooding and thank emergency services personnel for their hard work to help the community.
“The torrential rains, flooding and high winds over the past 36 hours have caused damage and hardship for many people and damaged roads, bridges and other infrastructure across this region of South Western NSW,” he said.
“This Natural Disaster declaration covers Wagga Wagga and Albury cities and Tumut, Tumbarumba, Greater Hume and Lockhart shires, and a range of assistance will be available to the affected communities.
