When traditional media gets it wrong, AFP clarifies Canberra Times report on airport security

Posted on September 1, 2010 by by scoop

AFP had to clarify the Canberra Times on an article published on page 2 yesterday, 31 August 2010, titled, ‘Security at airports is laughable, expert says’

The article contains excerpts from what is referred to as an Australian Federal Police submission to a ‘parliamentary inquiry into aviation and port security’.

This is incorrect the AFP said. The submission was prepared by the Australian Federal Police Association.

This is probably something you won’t see in the front page of any newspaper.
