New $3.4m Cook Community Hub officially opens in Canberra

The new $3.4 million Cook Community Hub and neighbourhood hall was officially launch in Canberra yesterday, 11th September 2010.
The Cook Community Hub has been developed to accommodate community organisations and provide meeting and recreation space for local residents. ACT Minister for Community Services Joy Burch said
Ms Burch said the ACT Government is expending some $30 million on Regional Community Hubs in Cook, Chifley, Holt and Weston and the construction of new community halls in Bonython and Griffith.
“The Cook Community Hub will house a variety of arts-focused community organisations including dancing and theatre, educational pursuits and childcare centres,” Ms Burch said.
