Man arrested over multiple child sex assault and pornography – Sydney

A former NSW Police officer has been arrested following an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a child and the production and subsequent publication of pornographic images. NSW Police media release
About midday today investigators attached to Strike Force Clover from Bankstown and Camden Local Area Commands executed search warrants simultaneously at a home in Currans Hill and a business premises at another location.
A 40-year-old man was arrested and police searched both premises seizing numerous items including computer hard drives, computer flash drives, compact discs, notes, images and photographs.
The items were removed for further forensic analysis and the man was taken to Camden Police Station.
He was later charged with sexual intercourse with a child aged between 10 and 16-years-old in circumstances of aggravation x 5. He was further charged with the production of child pornography x 2, and publishing child pornography x 6.
The man was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday 11 August.
