According to comScore, Brazilians Viewed a Total of 3.3 Billion Online Videos Driven in Part by Interest in World Cup Coverage.

ComScore, a leader in measuring the digital world, has released a study on online video consumption in Brazil. The study found that in July 2010 more than 35 million Brazilians watched online video, representing approximately 85 percent of the total online population. The study was based on home and work locations only and didn’t include internet cafes, free wifi locations and other sources.

“The study, which tracked the video viewing behavior of Brazilians during the months of the World Cup, reported that Brazilians watched a total of 6.7 billion videos during June and July combined.”

“Online video viewing has clearly become an essential part of the digital consumer experience in Brazil with about 6 out of every 7 Internet users at home and work locations viewing online video during the months of the World Cup”.
