A freaky tornado in Lennox Head-NSW and some wild weather has destroyed 12 homes and injured six people in NSW. CanberraTimes
A few years ago we probably would have only read this story in a newspaper, however thanks to the internet and online video websites such as youtube citizens are now sharing their stories and videos as events are unfolding around them.
Unfortunately journalists can’t be everywhere when something happens and that’s why traditional media can now use citizen journalists/hyperlocals or whatever you want to call them to provide us with more information and news that matters to us.
