“The Last Emperor” Fedor is a top ten Twitter trend

If you are a MMA follower or practitioner then I am sure you know what happened at the StrikeForce event today.
“The Last Emperor”, Fedor Emelianenko was submitted in less than 70 seconds by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and MMA fighter Fabricio Wedum via triangle chock. Some would say it was an armbar/triangle shock submission but Fedor clearly tapped to the triangle chock.
Well, I am not going to go into details of the fight but if you want to know about it just follow this Google link.
What I am about to tell you is that Fedor losing to Werdum was such a huge news in the World of MMA and Social Media that Fedor’s name was a top Twitter trend for several hours today.
This result clearly shows that MMA is officially a mainstream sport and Twitter is loving it.
