Man arrested for importing 4.6Kgs of pseudo-ephedrine into Australia

Customs and Border Protection officers stopped the man for questioning when he arrived at Sydney International Airport on a flight from Malaysia yesterday.
During a baggage examination, officers conducted tests on his personal luggage which reacted positive for an illicit substance.
The man was referred to the Australian Federal Police, and charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border controlled precursor, namely pseudoephedrine, contrary to section 307.11 of the Criminal Code Act 1995.
