Today the ACT Department of Education and Training and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) have signed a new agreement which will provide young students in Canberra with a range of career options and assistance they need for their education.
Under the agreement CIT will work with Kingsford Smith School, Charnwood Dunlop Primary School, Florey Primary School and Richardson Primary School to provide early careers information, tours, discovery days, taster programs and other activities to help further engage students and their families in education.
“Minister for Education and Training Mr Barr said this agreement complements ACT Laborâs earn or learn policy and the agreement recently struck between the University of Canberra, Kaleen High and Lake Ginninderra College.”
âI am committed to ensuring students who want to go on to university, skills or trades training or work can succeed, no matter where they go to school, no matter what their familyâs circumstances,â Mr Barr said.
