ACT Government invests $910,000 in playground upgrades

The ACT Government has announced an investment of $910,000 on playground upgrades in the suburbs of Fadden, Waramanga, O’Connor, Weston, Macquarie, Higgins and McKellar. media release
“The ACT Government has commenced a program to upgrade playgrounds in seven suburbs with the $910,000 injection in funding to be put towards new play equipment and safety improvements for each playground,” Chief Minister and Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Jon Stanhope said today.
” The contract for the work has been awarded to local construction firm Marsupial Landscape Management, and works are scheduled for completion in late 2010. Comments received on each preliminary design from the community have been incorporated into the final designs where possible.”
