TransACT purchases Canberra ISP – Grapevine

Canberra-based telecommunications provider, TransACT, has announced in their website that it has purchased ActewAGL’s 50 per cent interest in local internet service provider (ISP) – Grapevine. Grapevine was launched by ActewAGL and TransACT back in 2005.
TransACT Chief Executive Officer Ivan Slavich said, “TransACT purchasing Grapevine outright presents an exciting future for Grapevine.”
“This acquisition places TransACT in a position to provide its ISP customers with even greater value for money when we unveil new Grapevine services and updated products in the second half of 2010.
“This exciting purchase decision also allows TransACT to better position itself within a broader National Broadband Network (NBN) environment by fully owning its ISP.
“We wish to assure all Grapevine customers that it is business as usual and that this change will not affect the excellent service that Grapevine customers currently experience or the current bundle agreement that they may have in place with ActewAGL and TransACT.”
