Rally against cuts to the ACT Public Service – 20th May
Posted on May 17, 2010 by by Captcha
The CPSU announced today a Lunchtime Protest Rally against cuts to the ACT Public Service.
Why is the CPSU protesting?
“The Government plans to strip around $90 million from the local public service to try to balance the budget they have blown. This huge unfair cut will hurt staff and the Canberra community. ACTPS employees are facing cuts to pay and conditions, unmanageable workloads and major staffing shortages. The community is facing longer queues, more delays and reduced services. Please come along and show your support for decent jobs and services.”
LUNCHTIME RALLY NEXT THURSDAY
Where – ACT Legislative Assembly (London Circuit)
When – THURSDAY 20 MAY FROM 12.30PM
Who – All welcome
Attendance at the rally is open to all ACT and APS workers.
In a city where the majority of people works for the public service you would think that there will be lots of people attending this rally, will you be one of them?
