Smoke haze over Canberra from Interstate – ESA
Posted on March 19, 2010 by by valerirojas
Are you one of the many Canberra residents smelling or seeing a bit of smoke around town? well the ACT Emergency Services Agency is reporting that the smoke is coming from a hazard reduction burn occurring over the border in NSW west of the Brindabellas.
“The smoke haze may increase over the ACT during the next 24 to 48 hours depending on the weather conditions.
People should not be alarmed by this smoke. There are currently no bushfires burning in the ACT.” ESA

Thanks for passing that on. I couldn’t find anything on the ABC last night and kept missing the news report.

No worries Ythaca, as soon as I could smell some smoke I decided to check the ESA site as they are pretty good updating their info and so I thought I share here on Typeboard.com
