New ACT Government Program to support families in West Belconnen

The ACT Government has launched a new program to support families in the West Belconnen area.

“Newpin (New Parent Infant Network) is an award winning, community-based family support program that has been used successfully by Uniting Care Burnside in Victoria for the past 12 years.”

The program will operate for two days each week at Uniting Care Kippax and offer peer support, early education and personal development for families in West Belconnen.

Mr Stanhope said the ACT Government was pleased to provide $200,000 to Uniting Care Kippax each year for family support programs including Newpin.

“I commend the Uniting Care Kippax for their latest early intervention program, Newpin, which will provide practical assistance for families in West Belconnen who are experiencing significant difficulty or distress,” Mr Stanhope said.
