House fire in Narrabundah – Canberra

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a suspicious house fire in Narrabundah which occurred today Saturday, March 13.
“Around 12.40am police attended the Bungonia Street address following a report of a house fire. ACT Fire Brigade extinguished the fire then handed the investigation over to ACT Policing after it was deemed suspicious.”
The house had extensive structural damage and fire damage to the second bedroom, dining room and kitchen, with further smoke and water damage to the rest of the house. No one was inside the premises or injured during the fire.
Police conducted a door-knock of the area and AFP Forensic Services investigated the scene and now are appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious persons or activity in the area overnight to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au
