Drink Driver caught four times the legal limit

A 63-year-old Higgins man was caught with a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of four times the legal limit (0.240) in Higgins, Canberra (March 26).

The man was caught after a Belconnen general duties patrol conducted a traffic stop on Hudson Street where the driver was subjected to a roadside screening test.

“The male driver returned a positive reading to the roadside test and was conveyed to the Belconnen Police Station, where he returned a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.240. The male driver is subject to a 0.05 alcohol limit”. ACT Policing
