ACT Policing is appealing to the public to assist in locating an 88-year-old Charnwood man who left his home around 2pm Monday, March 1 to go fishing.Â
Mr Antti Hietanen left his home driving a silver-coloured Subaru Outback with ACT registration plates YFD-71E. Mr Hietanen usually fishes from the shores of Lake Ginninderra or Lake Burley Griffin.
He is described as around 175cm tall (5â9â), of solid build, with grey-blue eyes, a fair complexion and balding. He was last seen wearing light coloured pants, a cream-coloured jacket and black leather shoes.Â
Police are concerned for the safety of Mr Hietanen as this lengthy absence from his home is out of character and he has an existing medical condition.Police would urge anyone who may have seen Mr Hietanen or the silver Subaru Outback with ACT registration plates around one of the lakes or elsewhere to contact Police Operations on 131-444.
