AFP and NSW Police to investigate quadruple fatality in Canberra

A critical incident investigation team between NSW Police and Australian Federal Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of four people in a crash in Canberra last night (saturday 20th March). AFP
TweetAbout 10pm, police from Monaro Local Area Command became involved in a pursuit with a Mazda 626 in Queanbeyan.
The pursuit continued along Canberra Avenue into the ACT and at the intersection of Canberra Avenue and the Monaro Highway exit ramp at Narrabundah, the vehicle collided with a Mazda 3.
As a result of the collision the three occupants of the Mazda 3, a man and woman aged in their 30’s, and an infant, died at the scene.
The driver of the Mazda 626, a male aged in his 20’s, was taken to Canberra Hospital where he later died. The female passenger of that vehicle, aged in her 20’s, remains in Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.

I just came back from the fyshwick markets and police have closed the roads going towards the intersection of Canberra AV and Monaro Hwy from the Nyrang st next to the CIT.
