A bad “Taste” in our mouths

Feeling like some spicy food on Friday night my hubby and I decided to give the new Indian restaurant at Woden Plaza a go. It’s called Taste of India. I would not recommend it, and we didn’t even eat there. After seeing there were only about five of the 35 or so tables occupied, and without a booking, we decided to take a chance to see if they could squeeze us in. The manager, a man in his early 30s, looked us up and down rolled his eyes across the room and reluctantly allocated us one of his many empty tables. As it was only about 6pm, the sun was still incredibly bright coming in from the west and where we were seated my hubby had it glaring right in his eyes. We asked our waitress if it would be possible to move as he could hardly see the menu let alone carry on a conversation as he couldn’t look up the sun was so bright. It shouldn’t be a problem, she said, and wandered off to ask the eye-rolling manager. She came back over and told us “No, sorry, the other tables are booked”. That was it. We were out of there. I’m not going to spend money in a restaurant that is so un welcoming and un-accommodating. Can’t tell you what the food was like but if the attitude is anything to go by, it would leave a bad “Taste” in your mouth too.
