It seems that Kingston residents need to keep an eye on their cars at night time as thieves are breaking into cars in that suburb.
“ACT Policing is investigating numerous cases of property damage and theft to vehicles parked in apartment block carparks in Kingston overnight on Tuesday evening February 23 and in the early hours of Wednesday morning February 24.
Between the hours of 11pm Tuesday and 7am Wednesday, an implement has been used to force open or break car windows to gain entry. Over 50 vehicles were damaged in apartment carparks in Dawes and Cunningham Streets.
The thieves were generally seeking cash, although a small number of other valuables left in vehicles such as GPS units and iPods also were stolen.
