Chat Online with Victoria Police about Young Drivers Road Safety, 24th February – Australia
Posted on February 22, 2010 by by valerirojas
When it comes to Australia Federal and State Governments using Social Media the Victorian Government is way ahead of every one else. They use Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Youtube, Forums and other web applications to get in touch with their community. They don’t just have profiles in most social media websites but actually use them and when they believe there are issues they need to discuss about with the community then they usually have open online chat-rooms to talk about it.
It now seems that young P-platers are the focus of discussions when it comes to road safety in Victoria and so the Victoria Police wants to talk to the community about it online.
Victoria Police has received many comments, questions and suggestions from the community about lowering the road toll and this Wednesday at 12.30pm, is your chance to chat to Deputy Commissioner, Road Policing, Ken Lay and VicRoads’ Director of Road User Safety, Dave Shelton, about young drivers and their safety.
You may be a P-plater yourself and would like to know why certain restrictions have been put in place. You may have a great solution about how we can drive down the road toll and target high risk young drivers.
If you want to ask any questions to Deputy Commissioner Ken Lay or Dave Shelton, join them for a live online chat at P-plater online chat on Wednesday 24th February from 12.30pm-1.30pm.
