Australian Labor party goes Social with Labor Connect
Posted on February 8, 2010 by by Valeri
Last week the Australian Labor party launched their new website making it a little more social with a new feature called “Labor Connect“.
With Labor Connect, Labor supporters and the community can connect with each other and participate in current progressive policy debates. Community members can register to their site and comment on all blog articles published by labor members, you can also share posts by using Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and a number of other social networks. They also have the latest Prime Minister’s Tweets shown in the website and you can also view all their Youtube videos by visiting the Labor TV.
The website looks modern and it seems that the labor government is trying to get in touch with the community or are they?
TweetCreating a vibrant and active online community fulfils an important resolution from the Party’s National Conference last year but also reflects the ongoing tradition of Australian Labor as the people’s party. Through Labor Connect we’ve made it easy to participate and be heard.
While we’re very excited to launch the first stage of Labor Connect we know it’s a work in progress that will change and grow over time along with the community it serves.
Signup is quick and easy and I encourage you to get involved in Labor Connect and help move the labor party conversation forward. Can’t wait to hear from you!. Labor Connect
