Teenagers win National Competition after using Google Wave
Posted on January 23, 2010 by by Valeri
Three Torfaen teenagers have won the National Education Network’s competition in the UK and received free laptops after using Google Wave. Southwalesargus reports.
Competitors had to write or record a news story on how technology is changing the way people learn today, that’s when the three boys “Michael Delahorne, 16, Alex Perry, 16, and Daniel Jenkins, 16″ wrote a report on how they had been using Google Wave, to help with their Physics AS Level revision.
The boys used Google Wave to share revision notes and links to web pages with their classmates and have also created a brainstorm all pupils can add to.
“Their entry was picked out from entries submitted from all over the UK by a panel of judges and their prize also included visiting and reporting on technology and education show, the 2010 BETT Show, which was held in London last week (JAN 13-16).”
Now, if three teenagers are smart enough to use Google Wave then I don’t see why anyone else wouldn’t use it either.
