is News.com.au short of Technology headlines?

Posted on January 25, 2010 by by Captcha

Is news.com.au not happy with their technology articles or was this a system failure?

I was having a look at the homepage of news.com.au this morning when I noticed the two main headlines of the Technology section were actually the same article, the same author but just “different” title and newspaper.

I actually thought that News.com.au would have enough IT stories to put as headlines in their homepage but I was so wrong.

I wonder if they really think people want to see the same story twice in the homepage or was that a system error? I understand if it is the same topic and different content but if everything is the same then what is the point of having it twice?

I am providing you with the links to the two articles below, can someone tell me if the content is different or not because I just can’t see the difference.

It’s common practise of same content, different headlines. Helps get results/hits from keyword searches.
