Google “Nexus One” launch expected this tuesday

Posted on January 3, 2010 by by valerirojas

Google is expected to ring in the new year by unveiling its own smartphone on Tuesday, the Nexus One, in a bid to expand its powerful Web brand in the booming mobile arena.” AP reports

And as most people already know, the beauty of it is that Google will sell it as an “unlocked” phone, which means you can go with any telephone provider once you purchased the phone.

It is important to understand that even though Google is selling the mobile phone it was manufactured by HTC but uses Google Android as the Operating System, so it should not be called the Google Phone but the Nexus One.

Technology blog Gizmodo citing leaked documents, said the Nexus One will cost US$530 dollars “unlocked” — or 180 dollars with a two-year service agreement with T-Mobile in the US, a subsidiary of Germany’s Deutsche Telekom AG.

I just wonder how long it will take to arrive to Australia?
