Drunk man nearly five times over the limit – Melbourne

“The 38-year-old Rosebud West man was seen driving on the wrong side of Point Nepean Road when he collided with a Ford Territory travelling in the opposite direction about 4.15pm on Thursday 21st. The Ford Territory had five occupants including three children, none of whom were injured.” Victoria Police
It is believed that the man stopped his vehicle approximately 400 metres down the road and was arrested by police. The man later recorded a blood alcohol reading of .248%.
The man was released on summons and is expected to be charged with conduct endangering life, conduct endangering persons, exceed prescribed concentration of alcohol, manner dangerous, and careless driving.

WHY RELEASED ON BAIL!!??
Obviously does not have any regard for human life, including his own. Keeping him on remand would be a much better option. At least there would be one less fool on the roads for now.

I agree with Phil, that man was lucky not to kill anyone, where is the justice on that?
