If you live in Canberra and you hear noises outside your home, make sure you don’t go outside alone or you could also end up in hospital like this Rivett man.

A 51-year-old Rivett man was assaulted with a glass bottle and received multiple lacerations to his face and head yesterday night. About 9:30pm (January 7).

The man was assaulted by two men aged 26 and 24, after he exited his house to investigate a noise in the street, the man was taken to The Canberra Hospital.

“The alleged offenders from Rivett and Wanniassa respectively, will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (January charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.” AFP
