2009 is almost over and the sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) saw some great victories and fights during the year including some rather embarrassing moments.  The fight that takes the title of ‘the most embarrassing fight of 2009′, and which many call the most embarrassing fight of the decade, was between the UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva vs former Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin.

It took “The Spider” Silva 3 minutes and 23 seconds to completely embarrass Griffin at the UFC 101 Declaration back in August 8, 2009 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Personally, what made this fight even more embarrassing apart from Griffin been knocked down four times throughout the fight happened just after the fight.  Griffin was knocked out by Silva for the last time and the fight was stopped, Griffin then picked himself up off the ground and ran out of the Octagon – never to look back again!  It reminded me of a little boy running back home after falling off his bike.  I wonder if he made it home to his mum?

So will we see another fight like this one again next year? And will Silva humiliate Griffin again if they have a re-match? Maybe.
