LG 8.5Kg Front Loading Washing Machine faulty hose

Posted on December 29, 2009 by by racer

LG logoA few weeks ago I bought a new LG 8.5Kg front loading Washing Machine in Canberra, Australia. The washing machine itself is great, very quite and does an excellent job washing the clothes, however within the first few days we noticed water leaking on to the floor from behind the machine.

At first it looked like the water hose wasn’t installed properly but the actual problem was the hose.  It had a very small hole and water kept coming out of it. We took it back to the store where we bought it from and they gave us a new hose from another machine off the floor.

We took the new hose home, connected it up and it was all good – no more leaks.  We thought that was the end of it but today we received a phone call from the LG company to let us know they would be sending us a new set of water hoses because the ones that came with the machine were faulty.

Now you all know it, if you are planning on buying the new LG 8.5Kg Front Loading Washing Machine make sure to ask the sale person if the hoses have been replaced with the new ones.

I was about to buy this LG model and was advised that all LG washing machines (yes every single one) have hose leaking. Just wonder if they all been fixed/replaced.
