Is tweeting while driving illegal? I am sure it is but I still wonder why so many people still do it?

I wonder how long it will take before someone is caught by a cop for tweet driving?

If you go to http://search.twitter.com/ and type driving or even I am driving in their search field you will find some interesting results.

I just think it is too dangerous and people shouldn’t be doing it, I am sure it won’t take very long before cops start using twiter applications to catch people for tweeting while driving, unless cops are already doing it but I haven’t heard about it yet.
