Posted on December 21, 2009 by by valerirojas
I thought I share the new Google “Happy Holidays 2009″ Doodle with all the people who can’t see the new doodle yet, selecting the doodle will take you to the Google Holidays 2009 Logos page. http://www.google.com.au/logos/holidays-2009.html
In the page you can see messages from Google wishing everyone Happy Holidays in different languages “Felices Fiestas”.

Even Google UK shows the message “Happy Holidays”, apparently they are unaware that in the UK, NO-ONE uses this phrase. We say “Happy Christmas”.

I think they mean happy holidays as in Christmas and New Years break, right? or do they really mean Happy Christmas?

Maybe it should have said “happy christmas holiday season”?, the actual translation for their Spanish message is “happy festivities”. So maybe they did mean the whole holiday period? either way that is a good question, what did they mean by it?
Happy Holidays to everyone any way
