Canberra “2010 Latin Carnival” – bigger and better than ever

Posted on December 1, 2009 by by valerirojas

It seems that the recent report about the Canberra Carnival in the City having funding issues and not going ahead was completely wrong.

Today, Minister for Multicultural Affairs MS Joy Burch, announced the program for the Carnival in the City event as part of the 2010 National Multicultural Festival.

“The cream of Canberra’s Latin music scene crop will be showcased at the 2010 Carnival in the City,
with Mi Tierra, Selene and Los Chavos signing up to perform.”

“Spectators are in for a treat next year, there’s a fantastic program locked in that promises to outshine expectations. The multicultural festival is always a popular outing for locals and the 2010 festival is shaping up to be an absolute extravaganza of colour and entertainment,” Ms Burch concluded.

It is definitely great news to know that the Latin Carnival will go ahead and will also showcase great local bands.
