ACT Government pleased with brothels and escort agencies

“I am pleased to see a high level of compliance following an audit of brothels and escort agencies” Attorney General, Simon Corbell said today.
Corbell comments came after Government inspectors from the Office of Regulatory Services concluded a series of inspections of ACT commercial brothels and escort agencies, finding a high level of compliance of worker safety practices in most establishments.
“Ten brothels were formally inspected with two prohibition notices issued and one improvement notice issued across three premises. Unfortunately we donât know which placesâ
“The issues covered in the notices were common workplace health and safety matters, including trip hazards and fire safety, through to more serious issues in relation to cleanliness and air quality.”
“The Government is committed to maintaining a safe environment for both employees and clients of these establishments, and is sending a clear message to operators that unsafe or unclean practices will not be tolerated,” Mr Corbell said.
