Facebook Petition to have IRELAND Vs FRANCE REPLAYED – over 360,200 fans
Posted on November 22, 2009 by by Valeri
So we all know what happened last Wednesday between France vs Ireland and I am not going into details about it, but what I find interesting is that a Facebook group was created after the match as a petition to get Ireland and France to play their match again.
In just a few days the group has had over 360,200 fans and the number keeps growing, I just had a look at the group and within minutes the group went from 360,268 to 360,838 fans.
So will the power of social networks change the way we do things? will this group change the future of the world cup and will FIFA do anything about it?
I personally don’t think FIFA will do anything about it, they didn’t do anything about “Maradona’s Hand of God” and I don’t see why they would do something about Thierry’s handball now.
Either way you can watch the handball again here..
And you can watch Maradona’s hand of god here..
