“Three sweet toothed thieves with a case of the late night munchies were nabbed stealing a chocolate vending machine from a Hawthorn East hotel yesterday, Melbourne” VIC Police

A Camberwell night shift van patrolling the area spotted three men trying to lift the $10,000 machine onto a ute in Albert Street around 1.15am.

The trio had unplugged the machine from the hotel foyer and pushed it a short distance up the street before growing tired and returning to one of their houses to get the car.

The men told police they stole the machine because they felt like chocolate.
