Car smashes into building

Melbourne Police are investigating an accident at Carlton where a car collided with a building about 2.57 am. 6th November Police said the car was heading south in Lygon Street when the driver hit a tram stop, and ran off the road and hit the front wall and window of a bakery at the corner of Fenwick Street and Lygon Street. The car didn’t not go into the building, however it caused structural damage to it. The driver of the car a man, 28, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with moderate injuries. A baker was working in the back of the building, but there were no injuries as a result of the incident
