Britney Spears fails to impress Aussie fans, but did she really?

Posted on November 8, 2009 by by facts

Interesting to read how a journalist who probably didn’t go to the Britney Spears concert in Perth called it a big Fail.

We have a newspaper saying “it was not the triumphant return Britney Spears had hoped for”, and fans started to walk out of the concert after the third song.

Well, it is only fair to read what the fans actually thought of the concert as well, right? according to Britneyspears.com, 18,272 fans actually enjoyed the show and have received thousands of twitter comments about it.

“Thousands of positive messages from Britney’s fans have poured in during just those few minutes. Here are some of their comments:”

  • AmyClarky @britneyspears LOVED IT :) i was there last night and going again tonight :)
  • Outrageousbitch @britneyspears it was amazing.
  • _sara_dee @britneyspears my friends who went absolutely loved the show, I wish I couldve gone!!
  • Acupello @britneyspears it was great! alot of effort went in to it and it showed….
  • bluesurfer1blue @britneyspears I heard about the show, and heard about the press, your fans love you, and you totally rock britney xoxoxoxoxo
  • ninaelise @britneyspears I was not there, but my friends who were there loved it. Some people just need to complain about everything. go britney:)
  • steph_paige @britneyspears amazing amazing amazing amazing show.
  • 19k0011 @britneyspears awesome show

Now, who are we going to believe? one report by a journalist who didn’t like the show or tweets by thousands of people who did enjoy it?

So did you go to the concert? and what did you think of it?

Yeah, a lot of this is just journos trying to create a controversy. They say “fans started to walk out of the concert after the third song”. They make it seem like the hall was empty after the third song but “fans” could mean 2 people – they don’t make it clear.

But, the big screens showing random stuff instead of Britney and her turning her back a lot seems like a poor attempt at lip synching. If you’re gonna lip synch at least do it well.

I went to the concert. It was amazing. The original story was published over 30 minutes before the show even ended (wow, she must be a fast writer and must have written it in the concert…or, mabye she didn’t go) The journalist who wrote the story lives on the other side of the country. To me, it was a massive media beat up.

Britney spears concert was great. I am not a big fan of britney and took my daughter and her friend, i was epecting it to be rubbish after the bad press but it was noting but amazing. It did annoy me a bit that she doesnt sing live but it was still really entertaining. Well done britney x

Amazing show and it just DISGUSTS me about what has been said. over 18,000 people attended which is 4000 above the previous record for the concert venue. If you went to the concert and expected her to sing live then you were stupid, because we know that she lipsynchs, so dont complain! Britney did sing evertime. Brit is a performer and she certainly showed that with her show. Stop the negativity, it is really wrong, for the actual fans that went to the show, they enjoyed it. if you left 3 songs into it, u werent a fan, u would have been sooo excited to have seen britney. However, i do agree the screens should have shown her face, coz it would have been hard to see had you been on the second level and up the back. But you pay for what you get!
