A 54-year-old Hang Glider dies in Victoria, Australia

Victoria Police are investigating the death of a hang glider who was killed at Wahring airstrip earlier this afternoon. 8th November

The accident happened at about 1.30pm when the pilot was in the process of launching his glider when it appeared to roll to one side, lost speed and crashed to the ground. The  54-year-old Epping man died on impact.

“The glider was approximately 40 to 50 feet in the air and travelling at about 40 knots (75 kph) when the incident happened. “
