Man dies after being hit by flying tyre

A 63-year-old man has died after he was hit by a trailer tyre in Laverton – Melbourne, this afternoon.
The incident happened after the 63-year-old stopped his car at the side of the Princes Fwy, 500 metres north of High Street and went to the aid of motorist whose car had broken down.
When the man went to return to his car, he was hit and killed by a tyre that flew off a trailer being towed by a passing truck.
