Dodgy cop charged after internal investigation – NSW

A 51-year-old NSW Senior Sergeant was charged with 21 offences including firearm matters and possessing motor vehicle and motor cycle parts suspected of being stolen from the Police Force. Australia
Police initiated the internal investigation in April this year after receiving information about the officer through the complaint management process.Â
Investigators conducted inquiries and have subsequently identified and seized a number of unregistered firearms as well as car parts, motorcycle parts and two vehicles.Â
The Senior Sergeant has been charged with 21 offences, including:
2 x possess unregistered firearm – not prohibited firearm/pistol
2 x possess unauthorised firearm
2 x not keep firearm safely – not prohibited firearm/pistol
2 x possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority
Obtain a financial advantage by false/misleading statement
Goods in custody
Dishonestly possess motor vehicle with unique identifier interfered with
2 x neglect of duty
6 x larceny as a servant
2 x use false instrument with intent
