Canberra Calvary Hospital consultation – have your say
Posted on October 14, 2009 by by scoop
The ACT government is asking Canberrans interested in the ACT Government’s proposed purchase of Calvary Hospital to register for this Friday’s community consultation forums.
The ACT Government says as they embark on a $1 billion redevelopment of the public hospital and healthcare system here in Canberra, now is the best time to consider the most effective and efficient means for delivering health services to the people of the ACT and surrounding regions.
So they want to know what you think of the possible transfer of ownership, governance and control of Calvary Public Hospital at Bruce to the ACT Government.
Public forums will be held on Friday 16 October 2009 at the following times and locations:
- 10.00am – 11.30am at Calvary Hospital Function Room, Lewisham Building; and
- 12.30pm – 2.00pm at Canberra Hospital, Main Auditorium.
- A third forum is scheduled for 21 October 2009 at the Boathouse by the Lake to discuss the proposed changes to the ownership of Clare Holland House.
Register your interest in attending a consultation forum by calling 6207 9143.
or more information visit www.health.act.gov.au/calvaryconsultation.
The consultation will run until 12 November 2009.
