Armed robbery at the Handymart store in Latham – Canberra

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an armed robbery which occurred at the Latham Handymart store on Wanliss Street, Latham. 30 September 2009
About 10.20am, a male armed with a firearm entered the store and threatened a staff member, demanding cash from the register. No-one was injured during the robbery but the offender escaped with a sum of cash.
The man is described as approximately 160 cm (5â3â) tall, with a slim build, weighing approximately 60kgs, wearing a black hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants, white shoes and white gloves.

I lived in that suburb during my childhood….dont recall anyone robbing the shopping centre at gun point though…how times change :\
