A 112 year old man, Ahmed Muhamed Dore, from Guriceel, in the Galguduud region of Somalia has married a 17 year old girl.

“I didn’t force her, but used my experience to convince her of my love, and then we agreed to marry,” Dore said. That’s right, 112 years of experience.

The bride’s family said she was “happy with her new husband”. Somali adolescent girls are often married off to older men.

112 year old Dhore has 114 children and grandchildren. His oldest son is 80 and three of his five wives have died but the old man can’t stop moving. Guardian
