New take-away option opens in Jerrabomberra

Posted on September 29, 2009 by by vegemitekid

Jerra residents will be pleased to know a new option for a lazy dinner has just opened it’s doors.

Chickens Choice or Choice Chickens was doing a roaring trade earlier tonight when I headed down to Woolies for some supplies.

It has opened up between the tavern and the petrol station complete with what looks like a drive through as well.

I decided to investigate a little closer by going in to ask for a takeaway menu.

Nice lady in brand new bright green shirt advised these should be ready next week but proceeded to personally list every item on the menu.

As you would guess by the name, they do BBQ chooks in many different ways along with roast veges, chips, gravy and salads.

Before I could leave I suddenly had a container full of roast veges and gravy thrust in my hand to try.

“Have a try and see what you think.Hopefully we’ll see you back again tomorrow night or the night after,” Mumma Chicken said.

With that she refused to take any of my hard earned and wished me a nice evening.

To review – it was niiiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeee!

I’ll be back, even if only for the roast vege or hot chips and salads.

I didn’t have the heart to tell her I was a vego.

It is good to see take-aways opening and not shutting down like it is happening all over Canberra. :-)
