New Fire truck for Canberrans – Bronto

The ACT Fire Brigade Has replaced one of their fire trucks with the new $1.45m Bronto fire truck.

The new fire truck comes with a Skylift telescopic ladder platform which can reach a height of 44 meters.

Bronto was  formally commissioned into service at Civic Square this morning by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services Simon Corbell.

The appliance is the largest specialist fire fighter Telescopic Ladder Platform operating in Australia and New Zealand. media release

    oooooh…..tough looking!!!…love it

    seriously though, hopefully theres enough of these type of trucks in the city, with all the newer and taller buildings been built in the civic area.
